1. Our Products & Quality
What makes Mooni wall art unique and exclusive?
What makes Mooni wall art unique and exclusive?
Many of our designs are commissioned directly from artists, which means they literally don't exist anywhere else. We've built a collection around original artwork that celebrates color, joy, and creativity. When you choose Mooni, you're getting art that's genuinely exclusive.
We're obsessed with quality in a market full of shortcuts. While others race to the bottom on price, we focus on materials and craftsmanship that actually matter. You'll see and feel the difference the moment you unwrap your canvas.
Are these original designs or stock images?
Are these original designs or stock images?
We commission original designs directly from artists and curate licensed artwork from creators whose vision aligns with ours. Either way, these aren't the mass-produced designs you'll find everywhere else. We're selective about what makes it into our collection.
If a piece doesn't have personality and originality, it doesn't make the cut.
What printing technology do you use and why does it matter?
What printing technology do you use and why does it matter?
We use professional giclée printing with HP latex inks - the same museum-quality technology fine art galleries use to reproduce original artwork. This means archival, fade-resistant inks sprayed in microscopic droplets that create vibrant colors, smooth gradients, and visible canvas texture you can actually see and feel.
Here's why it matters: cheap prints fade, crack, and look flat within months. Giclée printing with archival inks is designed to last 100+ years without significant fading. The colors stay true, the detail stays sharp, and your canvas looks as good in a decade as it does the day you hang it. That's the difference between art and a disposable poster.
How is the canvas quality different from cheaper alternatives?
How is the canvas quality different from cheaper alternatives?
Premium cotton-blend canvas with a tight weave that holds detail and won't sag over time. Cheap canvases use thin polyester that stretches, wrinkles, and loses tension within months. Ours is gallery-wrapped around solid wooden frames that stay taut and flat for years.
The difference is obvious the moment you hold it. Cheap canvas feels flimsy and looks like a poster glued to fabric. Ours has weight, texture, and depth - it looks and feels like real art because it is. You're not hanging something that screams "budget" on your wall.
What does "individually handmade to order" actually mean?
What does "individually handmade to order" actually mean?
Your canvas doesn't exist until you order it. Each piece goes through multiple hands in our production process: first, a print specialist carefully loads your design and monitors the giclée printing to ensure perfect color accuracy. Then, a canvas stretcher hand-pulls the printed canvas taut around solid wooden frames. Finally, a finisher gallery-wraps the edges, inspects the quality, and prepares it for shipping.
That's why production takes 48 to 72 hours. Quality work takes time and skilled hands.
Do the colors look as vibrant in person as they do online?
Do the colors look as vibrant in person as they do online?
Yes, and often more so. Screens can only approximate what giclée printing with archival inks delivers on canvas. The texture, depth, and color saturation are richer in person because you're seeing actual pigment on canvas, not backlit pixels on a screen.
We calibrate our product photos to be as accurate as possible, but there's no substitute for holding the real thing. If the colors don't meet your expectations when your canvas arrives, our 30-day guarantee has you covered.
Is the canvas texture visible or is it just a flat print?
Is the canvas texture visible or is it just a flat print?
You'll see and feel the canvas texture. Giclée printing sprays microscopic ink droplets onto the canvas surface, which means the natural weave and texture of the fabric remains visible and tactile. It's not a flat, glossy poster finish - it has the depth and character of real canvas art that you see in our product photos.
Run your hand across it and you'll feel the texture under your fingers. That's part of what makes it look like gallery art instead of a printed image stuck to fabric.
2. Sizing & Customization
What size should I choose for my wall space?
What size should I choose for my wall space?
It depends on your wall and what else is around it. As a general rule: measure your wall width and aim for a canvas that's roughly 50-75% of that width for a balanced look. For above a sofa or bed, the canvas should be about two-thirds the width of the furniture. Smaller pieces (12x16" / 30x40cm or 16x24" / 40x60cm) work well in groups or tighter spaces, while larger sizes (24x36" / 60x90cm and up) make bold solo statements.
When in doubt, go bigger than you think. Most people underestimate size and end up with art that looks lost on the wall. If you're torn between two sizes, the larger one usually looks better and has more impact in the room.
Can I order a custom size not listed on your website?
Can I order a custom size not listed on your website?
Yes, we offer custom sizes. Contact us using the "Custom Size" option, include the SKU (shown below the price on the product page) and your dimensions, and we'll send you a personalized quotation.
We'll work with you to find a size that fits your space and budget. Some custom dimensions aren't economically viable to produce, but we'll offer you a range of options that work for your wall while keeping the pricing reasonable.
How do I measure my wall to choose the perfect size?
How do I measure my wall to choose the perfect size?
Measure the width of your wall space where the canvas will hang, then multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. That gives you the ideal canvas width for a balanced look. For example, if your wall space is 200cm (79") wide, aim for a canvas between 120-150cm (47-59") wide.
For furniture placement: measure the width of your sofa, bed, or console table and aim for about two-thirds of that width. A 180cm (71") sofa works well with a 120cm (47") canvas. Leave some breathing room on either side - the canvas shouldn't stretch edge-to-edge. When in doubt, use painter's tape on the wall to visualize the size before ordering.
Do you offer different orientation options (portrait vs landscape)?
Do you offer different orientation options (portrait vs landscape)?
For our curated art collection, each design is offered in the orientation shown on the product page. The artwork is composed specifically for that orientation, so we don't flip portrait to landscape or vice versa - it would compromise the design.
For custom photo-to-canvas orders, you can choose portrait or landscape orientation based on your image and space requirements.
Can I request color adjustments to match my decor?
Can I request color adjustments to match my decor?
Not for our curated art pieces - adjusting colors would compromise the artist's original vision and the impact of the work. Each design is carefully composed with a specific color palette that makes it what it is.
However, we can create black and white or sepia versions of most designs if that better suits your space. Contact us using the 'Color Adjustment' option on our contact page, include the SKU (shown below the price on the product page), and let us know which color treatment you'd like. We'll confirm if it works for that particular piece and send you a quotation.
Can you convert any design to black and white or sepia?
Can you convert any design to black and white or sepia?
Yes, we can convert most of our designs to black and white or sepia at minimal extra cost. This is perfect if you want the composition and style of a particular piece but need it to match a monochrome or vintage color scheme in your space.
Contact us using the 'Color Adjustment' option on our contact page with the SKU (shown below the price) and specify whether you want black and white or sepia. We'll confirm it works for that design and send you a quotation. It's an easy way to get the art you love in the exact tone your room needs.
What's the actual viewable size vs the total canvas size?
What's the actual viewable size vs the total canvas size?
The viewable size is exactly what you order - nothing is lost. We mirror-print the image onto the gallery-wrapped edges, so a 24x36" (60x90cm) canvas gives you the full 24x36" image visible from the front. The sides show a mirrored continuation of the edge details, creating a seamless, finished look.
This works for both our standard 0.75" (2cm) frame depth and the 1.5" (4cm) premium upgrade. You get the complete image you see online, plus professional wrapped edges that look great from any angle. There's no cropping or loss of the design, just a polished, frameless presentation that's ready to hang.
What's the difference between your standard and lamination upgrade option?
What's the difference between your standard and lamination upgrade option?
The lamination adds a protective sealant layer over your canvas. This clear, non-toxic coating shields against UV rays, dust, and moisture while enhancing color depth and saturation. It also makes the surface easier to clean without damaging the print.
It's especially useful for high-traffic areas or rooms with more exposure to light and humidity - bathrooms, kitchens, or sunny living rooms. If your canvas is going in a bedroom or office with normal conditions, standard printing is perfectly fine. Both will last for years; lamination just adds extra protection and easier maintenance.
What's the difference between your standard print and the HD upgrade?
What's the difference between your standard print and the HD upgrade?
HD Print uses 6-color printing instead of standard 4-color, delivering richer tones, smoother gradients, and superior color accuracy. The two additional ink colors fill in the gaps that standard CMYK misses, creating noticeably more depth and vibrancy.
We highly recommend the HD Print upgrade for our bright, colorful animal abstracts and geometric designs - the extra color depth makes the bold hues and intricate patterns really pop.
What's the difference between your standard and premium canvas upgrade?
What's the difference between your standard and premium canvas upgrade?
Our popular "Premium Canvas" upgrade uses a thicker, heavier-weight fabric that delivers enhanced durability and a more substantial, gallery-quality feel. The upgraded material holds tension better over time, resists sagging, and gives your canvas a noticeably more premium presence on the wall - especially important for larger pieces where fabric quality really shows.
3. Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship and how long does delivery take?
Where do you ship and how long does delivery take?
We currently ship to the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with more worldwide locations coming soon. Most orders arrive within 8-12 business days total (2-5 days production + 5-7 days shipping).
If your country isn't listed, we can ship worldwide via DHL or FedEx, although carrier shipping costs are higher - usually around $60 USD.
Please contact us using the 'Worldwide Shipping Quote (Outside UK/USA/Canada/Australia/NZ)' option for a personalized quote and delivery timeline.
You'll receive tracking information as soon as your canvas ships so you can follow its journey to your door.
How is the artwork packaged to prevent damage?
How is the artwork packaged to prevent damage?
Every canvas is carefully packaged to arrive in perfect condition. We use protective corner guards, bubble wrap, and sturdy outer packaging designed specifically for shipping artwork. Each canvas is individually wrapped and secured to prevent movement during transit, and larger pieces receive additional reinforcement to protect against impact or crushing.
Despite our rigorous packaging standards, transit damage can occasionally occur. If your canvas arrives damaged, contact us immediately with photos and we'll arrange a free replacement.
Why does production take 2-5 business days?
Why does production take 2-5 business days?
Every canvas is handmade to order - we don't keep pre-made stock. Your artwork is printed, stretched, wrapped, and quality-checked individually before shipping. This made-to-order approach ensures you get a fresh, perfectly crafted canvas every time, and it allows us to offer our exclusive designs without mass production.
Production time varies based on current order volume and any upgrades you've selected (HD Print, Lamination, Premium Canvas, etc.), but most canvases are ready to ship within 2-5 business days.
Can I track my order once it ships?

4. Installation & Care
What's included with my canvas - does it come ready to hang?
What's included with my canvas - does it come ready to hang?
Yes, every canvas arrives ready to hang straight out of the box. We include professional mounting hardware pre-installed on the back of the frame. You'll need to provide your own wall fixtures (nails, screws, or hooks) appropriate for your wall type, but the canvas itself comes with everything attached and ready to mount.
Can I hang your art in humid rooms like bathrooms or kitchens?
Can I hang your art in humid rooms like bathrooms or kitchens?
Our standard canvas quality is very high and will perform well in most environments. However, we strongly recommend the "Premium Canvas" and "Lamination" upgrades for humid rooms like bathrooms and kitchens. Note, however, that long-term exposure to humidity can damage canvas over time, causing warping, sagging, or color degradation.
The thicker "Premium Canvas" upgrade holds up better against moisture, and Lamination adds a protective barrier that shields your artwork from humidity, splashes, and condensation - essential protection where moisture is frequent.
What type of wall fixings do I need?
What type of wall fixings do I need?
Our mounting hardware is designed for screws or wide-headed nails - not traditional protruding picture hooks. The wall fixings you need depend on your wall type and canvas size:
- Drywall: Use wall anchors with screws, or wide-headed nails rated for the canvas weight
- Brick/Concrete/Plaster: Use wall plugs with screws
- Larger canvases: Require more robust fixings to support the weight securely
Our canvases come with mounting hardware pre-installed on the back, so you only need to provide the appropriate wall fixings for your specific wall surface. If you're unsure, consult your local hardware store with the canvas size and they can recommend the right fixings.
How do I clean my canvas without damaging it?
How do I clean my canvas without damaging it?
Canvas shouldn't need regular cleaning unless your local conditions demand it. For standard canvas, gently dust with a soft, dry cloth - avoid water or cleaning products which can damage the print and fabric.
If you've chosen the "Lamination" upgrade, cleaning is much easier - the protective coating allows you to simply wipe clean with a damp cloth, making it ideal for high-traffic areas, kitchens, or anywhere that needs occasional cleaning.
Can I display canvas art in direct sunlight?
Can I display canvas art in direct sunlight?
We don't recommend prolonged direct sunlight exposure. UV rays will fade any printed artwork over time, regardless of quality. If you're hanging your canvas in a sunny spot, consider positioning it where it receives indirect light, or use window treatments to filter harsh afternoon sun.
The "Lamination" upgrade offers some additional UV protection, but even laminated prints will eventually fade with constant direct sunlight exposure.
Will the colors fade over time?
Will the colors fade over time?
With proper care, your canvas will maintain its vibrant colors for years. We use high-quality, fade-resistant inks designed for longevity. However, all printed artwork will eventually fade if exposed to prolonged direct sunlight or harsh UV rays - this is true of any print, regardless of quality.
To maximize color longevity, avoid hanging your canvas in direct sunlight and keep it away from extreme heat or humidity. The "HD Print and Lamination" upgrade uses superior inks with enhanced fade resistance, and adds UV protection for even longer-lasting color vibrancy.
